Mom wanted to do her newborn photo session outdoors! How fun right?! I love when families want to do something different!

This location is to die for! Let me explain! This gorgeous trail in the East Bay Area of San Francisco has lush, trees that over hang the trail which creates stunning, diffused back light! During fall in the Bay Area, we don’t get much greenery — all the hills are dead grasses so finding this hidden gem was such a happy moment! Literally jumping for joy:).

After spending time in the greenery, we moved up the trail for sunset. This location is perfect for family shoots as it offers a great variety in terms of backdrops. You get a little bit of everything here — from greenery, to the golden hills!
