I know I shouldn’t play favorites but I have to say that Mommy & Me Sessions are some of my favorite ever to photograph, ESPECIALLY when the wildflowers are in bloom! In the San Francisco Bay Area the wildflowers usually begin blooming end of February, beginning of March. However this Spring was quite different. I started seeing blooming at the beginning of January. Typically I tell families to reach out in March to schedule their Spring Mini Sessions but this year it was earlier!

Most of the wildflowers blooming in the Bay Area are the yellow, mustard flowers. I have been lucky enough to find the wild and purple wildflowers mixed in with the yellow and they are just gorgeous! The fields are usually overflowing and some fields are even taller than me! I always tell my clients that if there ever is a time to do a photo session, it is NOW! Nothing more beautiful than having all the trees in bloom and the grass green.

There is a field in Walnut Creek, CA as well as Concord, CA that have lots of open space for your kids to run around as play all the while getting stunning views of the hills.
