Spring time in the San Francisco Bay Area is FILLED with super-bloom Wildflowers. The freeways are often lined for miles with bright yellow mustard flowers that are only blooming from mid March to June. These flowers are my favorite and come just in time for Mother’s Day Mini Sessions, High School Senior Sessions, Family Mini Sessions or even Lifestyle Newborn Sessions. The possibilities are endless!
Something so fun about photographing kids graduating from high school and college. They are totally open and willing to do anything and everything! No location is out! For this gorgeous girls session, we wanted to start with something urban and end in the wildflowers. We found a wide open parking lot and utilized the cement columns, sidewalks and ground. Clothing is such an important aspect when planning Senior Sessions. She chose a denim jacket and paired it with a simple t-shirt and distressed black jeans. The PERFECT combo for an urban location! I also wanted to shoot in harsh light. I felt like it just fit the vibe of location and her look… and I LOVE how they turned out!
For the wildflower location, I helped her find some colors that would compliment all the greens and yellows. Flowing dresses are a favorite for any session. If you’re a mom with young kids, its the perfect choice to chase after your kids and play with them. If you’re a high school or college aged girl, its also a great option as it provides movement and flow. Baltic Born has a great variety in styles, colors and prints. You name it, you can probably find it. Both of her dresses are from Baltic Born. Both the floral and the pink dress really stood out amongst all the green and yellow. She looked stunning! The sun was setting at just the right time and she was seriously glowing!
