A Magical Evening at Filoli – Historic House & Garden in Woodside, CA
So much to love about Filoli Gardens! Every corner you turn, you are being greeted any another magical corner to photograph in! The garden is only half as the old, rustic buildings are another incredible reason to want to have a photo session here. A large tulip garden, ivy walls, rose garden, open grassy field and even a green house! The light! Oh the light! It’s absolutely stunning and you’ll understand one you start scrolling through the photos from this couple’s engagement session!
V+D reached out wanting to do TWO sessions with me. The picked Filoli because it was where they got engaged. The next location was Lands End – If you have a chance, please check out there session with Golden Gate Bridge views at Lands End in San Francisco. Another incredible spot!
My favorite part about Filoli is definitely all the greenery! During the fall months, the East Bay Area becomes dead and brown. But not Filoli! This is perfect for any family, maternity or couple session if they’re looking for greenery during the fall months!
A few spots really caught my eye… the brick building with the staircase going up! WOW! Reminds me of something out of the Secret Garden. Literally we’d go through a door and find another incredible spot. Every corner had something different and unique and as you can see from the photos, it did not disappoint!

Can we talk about this tulip field? WOW! One of my favorite parts!
I love, love, LOVE this tulip field! The yellows and whites totally popped against their clothing and with the sun peaking through… what more could you ask for!?
As a lifestyle photographer, it’s my goal to give you natural prompts and poses but the rest is really up to you. I want your photos to reflect your love for each other so the more comfortable you are together, the more natural your photos will look and feel! I know some people don’t feel natural in front of the camera, so if that’s you, please let men now! I am happy to pose you and give you more direction if needed!
