Extended family sessions are truly such a joy to photograph! When one of the daughters reached out to me, she was explaining why she was wanting a session and it honestly was the sweetest thing ever. She mentioned how much she loves her parents and sisters, how grateful she is for their support during her wedding planning and wanted to show them that by having a photo session together!
Ok, like how sweet is that?! And honestly, their session just exudes joy and love! They were naturally just so happy to be with each other and it shows!
Location and clothing was a big part in making this session a success! Because of the green grass that begins to sprout in early December, I wanted to make sure they chose clothing choices that would go good against the neon greens. In the San Francisco Bay Area, we don’t get much rain but this year, because of all the rain, the green grass showed up early! Hello early Spring?! Their styling and colors were just stunning! Lots of cream, browns and tans with some prints sprinkled throughout. Such a great combo!
The location! Ok, this location is such a favorite of mine. In the East Bay, we have so many locations to choose from. A lot of them are hills and hard to get to so I wanted to make sure we found a flat spot that easily accessible in heels or boots. If you’ve never been to Sycamore Grove Park in Livermore, be sure to check it out! It has beautiful, flat open space, with lots of golden, natural light.
